How to Attach a Surfboard (Snowboard or Skateboard) to the Feet
Plot the elbow joint just slightly lower to match the bottom of the thorax or rib cage. This joint is plotted straight down from the shoulder and in the positive Y to give the arm a slight bend. Like you did for the legs and back. Do this in the right window.

Name this node L_elbow.

Plot the wrist joint about even or slightly lower than the hip joint. Make sure you plot in Y at 0. This will define the angle from the elbow.

Name this node L_wrist.

Plot the fingertip joint almost halfway down the thigh or femur.

Name this joint L_hand.

Now duplicate and mirror the left arm at L_clavicle like you did for the left leg at L_pelvis.

Pick and Xform this joint if you need to make any adjustments to the symmetry.

Rename these node for the right arm.

Now plot the the neck joint straight up in the positive Z from the Clavicle_joint. Make sure you pick the Clavicle_joint first and then Draw Skeleton.

Name this node Neck.

Now plot the chin joint about two units in the negative Y at a right angle to the Neck joint.

This joint will only be used to rotate a whole head. Therefore, you only need one for the chin.

Name this node Chin.

The skeleton in this example is about 18 units tall. Adjust proportions and bone size by

performing an Xform - Move on individual joints.

Now scale your surfboard to your figure.

Now you are ready to attach IK Handles.

Go to Objects - Add IK Handle and select the L_hip joint in the modeling window or in the ASBD window. Attach the end effector of the IK Handle to the L_Ankle.

Use the perspective window for picking in the modeling windows. Tumble and track to get the best view for picking the joints

You must pick a joint that is a descendant of the currently picked joint.

Now attach IK Handles for the following joint relationships. You need not re-activate Add - IK Handle after you have created one. Just move on to the next joint.

R_hip to R_ankle

R_ankle to R_toe

L_ankle to L_toe

Vertebrae_1 to Clavicle_joint

L_shoulder to L_wrist

R_shoulder to R_wrist

Neck to Chin
