Student Movies-in-a-day On the last day of the Special Effects with Discreet Combustion class, the class does a group project: a movie in a day! We come up with an idea on the spot, script it, storyboard it, film it, create the 2d/3d/stop-motion/whatever-we-can-get-our-hands-on, composite it, and edit it -- all in one day! The result is something like Performance Art: everyone works on a different piece of the puzzle and it all comes together at the end. The Movie-in-a-Day reinforces the concepts and features presented in the class, gives students a taste of working in a production environment, and most of all, it's fun!
